Job Description

Together with the QA Team, you ensure that all our products are always of superior quality and delivered to perfection to our clients. So this means you will embody Product Quality for DO&CO and you will be responsible for our internal quality system and therefore have a direct impact on finished goods.

  • Ensure the operational process and production of finished goods are appropriately controlled, via HACCP
  • Ensure that technical governance is in place to deliver audit compliance with respect to internal, external, legal and customer requirements
  • Facilitate and take ownership of non-conformances from the process, customer specifications and customer complaints, including investigation and root cause analysis and appropriate corrective actions
  • Monitor departmental KPI's and develop a quality culture
  • Provide leadership and direction to ensure that within the function people are kept engaged, focused, developed and delivering to their potential
  • Maintenance of the third-party certification
  • Keep abreast of all relevant legislation and where applicable, implement of new legislation
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Operations with the introduction of new raw materials, packaging materials and products
  • Delivery of customer complaint information and other monthly information as requested by internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Qualifications – HACCP Level 4, Food Safety Level 4
  • Degree in food science or in a relevant discipline
  • Food industry experience essential with a comprehensive understanding of High Care operations
  • Proven experience of leadership and team management
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of food law, legislation and regulations for the UK
  • Computer literate and good data management skills
  • Results focused and the ability to influence others
  • Confident communicator across all levels
  • Building relationship with Customers by being food safety first point of contact
  • Work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills to meet the demands of a 24/7 business
  • Flexible to work hours as required
